Graham Phillip Westoby was born July 28th 1954 in Acton, London. Graham was diagnosed as suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy at an early age and spent most of his life in a Wheelchair. He attended Burton Hill House School in Malmesbury, Wiltshire and Hinwick Hall School in Rushden, Northants. Graham married Margaret Patricia Collins (nee Bebbington) in his 30's, however she tragically died of cancer 2 years later. Graham continued to live on his own in a sheltered flat in Tewkesbury and had many dedicated carers looking after him. He sadly died of Heart failure after undergoing surgery to remove a growth on one of his kidneys. Graham is sadly missed by his family, friends and the many organizations that he worked tirelessly with in trying to improve facilities and access for the disabled, in the Gloucestershire area. |
